Hi, I'm Graham Cracker!

No, I'm not an actual graham cracker. But now that I think about it, being a giant walking graham cracker would be kind of badass. Alas, I can't be the human representation of my culinary namesake, so you're stuck with me!

Graham Blackall, baking blogger and food photographer // Glazed & Confused

Here are some frequently asked questions and their respective answers!

So who the hell are you?

I'm Graham! Well, technically my name is Anthony Graham Blackall on all legal documents, but do I really look like an Anthony to you?

How old are you?

I turned 20 in August of 2014 and I've been denying it every day since. On the inside, I'm pretty much a thirteen year old girl. (re: my One Direction shrine that sits next to my bed.)

What's your address?

Uh, stalker alert, much? My mom told me not to give my address out to strangers! But I live in the strangest and most amazing city ever, New Orleans.

What do you do for a living?

I'm currently a junior at Loyola University New Orleans, where I study Communications slash Advertising. I also work in New Orleans as a food photographer/stylist and am currently interning with the Besh Restaurant Group!

Tell me about your dream job.

That's not a question, but okay. My dream job is to work as an editor for a food magazine!

Can you give me some recommendations of where to eat in New Orleans?

Eating out is my favorite sport. Here's a big ole list of my favorite restaurants and sweet spots in New Orleans.

How did you start baking?

I've loved baking since I was a wee lad. (Apparently I'm Scottish now!) I was the King of Cake Mixes until about 9th grade, when my friend Jack gave me the recipe for these inside-out chocolate chip cookies that I'd make once a week throughout high school. At 17, I discovered my passion for baking and have been thinking about food 24/7 ever since.

How did you start the blog?

I've always read food and fashion blogs for inspiration and been pretty obsessed with social media. Once I started taking baking seriously, people would always ask me for my recipes, so I started this blog to share recipes and stories from my life.

What's your favorite food?

I get asked this all the time and people never believe me. My favorite food in the world is watermelon. I go through three of them in a week and once October rolls around and they disappear from the local grocery stores, I get really sad and have to find another food to survive off of until May.

I also really enjoy a good Neapolitan pizza, Vietnamese everything, giant salads full of fruit and grilled chicken, bananas and peanut butter, eating my weight in hummus, avocado toast, and anything containing roasted garlic and/or one too many handfuls of basil.

Can we work together?

Definitely. I'm available for a range of services including recipe development and food photography. Visit my contact page to see some sample job descriptions and shoot me a message!
